WA State Safe In CNN Battleground Map

The latest battleground state map from CNN indicates that Washington State is safe territory for Kerry in the coming general election, but that our neighbor to the south is hotly contested. What does this mean for us?

First, that we should take nothing for granted. We need to keep on doing everything we're doing. This will (hopefully) allow the Kerry campaign to focus on Oregon and the other contested states.

Second, it reminds us that even if Washington is safe for the presidential race, there are still plenty of local races to focus on.
