21st Century Democrats Training in Portland

Attention Democratic activists, candidates and campaign staff:

Get the skills you need to make your campaign a success -- join us in Portland, Oregon or Washington, D.C. for our annual grassroots campaign trainings!

21st Century Democrats has earned a national reputation for the quality of our annual, intensive field organizer trainings. These four-day summer sessions include tracks for entry-level organizers, grassroots activists, and candidates.

Our trainings bring in top Democratic campaigners to teach the fundamentals of campaign work. Trainees will learn to incorporate grassroots organizing, voter contact strategies, fundraising and Get-Out-The-Vote efforts into an effective campaign plan. Students will also complete a campaign simulation that will teach them to implement the campaign plan from now through Election Day.

Recruiters from 21st Century Democrats and other campaigns will be on hand to conduct interviews for campaign staff positions.

Our first training will be June 4-7 at American University in Washington, DC. The second will be June 18-21, 2004 at Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
